Vehicle was supplied an all-in-one truck basis, that could enable all the equipment including cable drums and cameras to be transported in the same van. There was designed a special storage area so that no equipment boxes will not be carried in the operational area. We find solution to accommodate up to 18 cameras with production in HD 1080i, but with capability of SD output at the same time. The truck was intended for entertainment programmes, so the equipment had to accommodate large screens and be suitable for stage use.
Truck is based on a Mercedes ACTROS 2532L chassis and its width can be increased from 2.5 to 3.5m for live productions. The coachwork was built at the TVC factory in Lithuania, with assistance from some other local specialists. The interior of the vehicle is divided into four sections —three to accommodate production and engineering staff, the fourth for storage. The body structure built with excellent thermal insulation because of the harsh winter temperatures in this part of the world. Then, for the summer temperatures it has an effective air conditioning system. TVC main challenge was the time of this project — four-and-half months from contract signing to delivery.
